Fiber artist Julia Gomien grew up in Cincinnati Ohio. From a young age she loved going to museums, even when traveling with her family. Julia’s love for history only continued with her schooling. Today, she uses these nostalgic design qualities to solve a more modern problem; how to escape an ever accelerating trend cycle. By slowing down and focusing on retro design ideas, Julia wants to create objects that can last for years.

Julia will be continuing her education, first by seeking a Bachelors in Psychology degree from the University of Cincinnati, then her Master’s in Art Therapy.
